Ah, back to the good old dot.com days when all you needed was a rotating banner and watch the money come rolling in..... At 2 years old this book is quite simply outdated. Obviously it does not cover the most important programming developments in Commerce Server & Transaction server and completely omits Content Management Server. Its covering of Global.asa is superficial and it omits to point out important differences between ASP2 and ASP3. It was good in its day, but a two year old book is worthless in this field. Sorry.

An excellent work  |

This book is an excellent way to get familiar with using Active Server Pages (ASP) to link to databases. The real world example of creating an on-line store provides a way to visualise how to build an interactive web site using a database back-end. Do not let the e-commerce focus put you off, the content is generic to any database driven site. The style of writing makes it easy to read and can be followed by a newbie to programming, or a developer with past Visual Basic experience. Overall - superb value.

Good Simple and to the point |

Really good book, bought this about 5 days ago and found it a most enjoyable read(as far as computing educational books go). Well reccommend for anyone wanting to develop an E-Commerce Site.
